Wydmuszka

“Wydmuszka” is a multi-layered play about an unusual friendship between two very different women: Halina, an educated, well-read and lonely librarian, and Roksana, the wife of a local businessman.

Behind this encounter a second, distinctly feminist layer opens up: the play deals with violence against women, social labelling, dependence, infertility, self-worth and the question of how a self-determined life becomes possible.

Both characters undergo a profound inner change and, step by step, arrive at self-respect, independence and a new understanding of freedom.
